Shooting Incident

Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 4, Brgy. Pulangabato, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur at about 12:10 PM of May 30, 2019.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim identified as Antonio Fernandez Bendanillo, 67 years old, married, farmer and a resident of the above mentioned place was shot to death by unidentified suspect/s using 12 gauge shotgun based on two (2) pellets found in the body of above victim who sustained multiple gunshot wounds on different part of his body causing his instantaneous death.

The suspect/s fled going to Brgy. Bantal, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. The victim was walking going to his farmland to pasture his carabao and when he was about to reach the other side of the river he was shoot by unidentified suspect/s hiding on grassy part of the riverside.

According to her wife identified as Mercedez Fernandez, the victim left their residential house at about 6:00 AM of May 30, 2019 and at about 10:30 of same date she decided to follow her husband Antonio Fernandez, since the latter was not able take his breakfast, then when she arrived on the place of incident more or less ten (10) meters she saw his husband lying on rocky part of the river already dead.

Immediately she asked assistance to her relatives at Purok 2 of same Barangay.

PNP personnel of Bayog MPS are now conducting hot pursuit operation and thorough investigation for the possible identity of the suspect and to locate possible witnesses and also to determine the motive of the incident.

Shooting Incident

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 4, Brgy. Damit, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur about 2:30 PM of May 12, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the victim as Bryan Dalion Bacang, 28 years old, married, Provincial Coordinator and a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. Damit, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. He was shot by certain Jun Matias using Cal 45 pistol.

Accordingly, Bryan Dalion Bacang came from his residence at Purok 1 of Brgy. Damit of Bayog Municipality driving his single MC going to Purok 7 of same Barangay particularly at Servillon residence.

Upon reaching at Purok 6, he was waylaid by two (2) Pick-up trucks, color black and silver both with no plate number.

The victim was cornered by the two (2) pick-up trucks at Purok 4 of Brgy. Damit.

Immediately thereafter the victim dropped his driven single mc and ran, however, certain Jun Matias stepped out from the black pick-up truck and fire his gun against Bacang.

The victim Bryan Dalion Bacang met Casimero Repoledon Enodio and was told to hide at the house of Rodrigo Africa.

Bacang was able to hide but unfortunately Casimero Repoledon Enodio was shot by certain Jaolani Hassim.

As a result the victim Bryan Dalion Bacang was not injured while Casimero Repoledon Enodio sustained one (1) alleged gunshot wound on his right cheek and was immediately brought to Bayog Rural Health Unit for first aid and both suspects fled towards Brgy. Sampoli, Municipality of Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Recovered from the crime scene were one fired cartridge case and one (1) live ammunition. One (1) Casimero Repoledon Enodio, 63 years old, married, farmer and also a resident of Purok 2 of the above-mentioned barangay was allegedly shot by certain Jaolani Hassim using unknown caliber of firearm.

PNP personnel of Bayog Municipal Police Station is now conducting hot pursuit operation and also conducted thorough investigation to determine the possible motive of the incident.

CAFGU Member Arrested for Kidnapping Charges

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (April 20, 2019) - Joint PNP personnel of Bayog MPS, CIDG Missamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company and SCAA personnel conducted police operation on wanted person at Sitio Balabag, Barangay Depore, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur at about 1:00 PM of April 19, 2019.

The operation was resulted in the arrest of Jionrel Largo y Curambao aka “Joy: 34 years old, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur), single, SCAA member and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Puntod, Plaridel, Misamis Occidental.

The accused arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Kidnapping under Criminal Case No. 1712 issued by Cherry Joy C. Concha-Ageas, Acting Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 36, 10th Judicial Region, Calamba, Misamis Occidental dated March 25, 2019 with no bail bond recommended.

The arrested person is now in custody of CIDG Missamis Occidental for proper disposition.

1 person killed in Shooting Incident

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (March 24, 2019) – One person was killed in Shooting incident occurred at Barangay Dimalinao, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:45 PM of March 23, 2019.

The victim was identified as Certo Nonggong Antubo, 17 years old, single, farmer and a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. Dimalinao, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. He was shot to death by unidentified suspect using undetermined caliber of firearm.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was at the kitchen of his parent’s house eating his dinner while his mother identified as Sayana Nonggong Antubo was lying and resting on the bedroom.

At that juncture, the victim’s mother heard one (1) gun burst coming from the back portion of the kitchen and heard his son was growling.

The father of the victim identified as Antonio Lamanan Antubo was fetching water on the faucet adjacent from their house also heard the gun burst, and then as he arrived at their house he found out that his son was already lying at the kitchen.

The victim sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his chest that resulted to his instantaneous death.

The Suspect fled going to Purok 2, Barangay Dimalinao, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

Bayog MPS is now conducting thorough investigation for the possible identity of the suspect and to locate possible witnesses and also to determine the motive of the incident.

Murder Suspect Arrested

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (March 23, 2019) - PNP personnel of Bayog Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 5, Barangay Canoayan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur at about 8:00 AM, March 22, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Junjun Anlucas Y Ansaga, 22 years old, single, male, farmer, and a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Canoayan, Bayog.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Murder, Docketed under Criminal Case No. 7448-15, dated 06 April 2015, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 12th Judicial Region, Branch 10, Hall of Justice, Marawi City with no bail bond.

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Bayog MPS detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court.

1 Person was killes, 1 wiunded ub-Hacking Incident

BAYOG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 1, 2019) – One3 person was killed while one was wounded in Hacking incident transpired at Barangay Canoayan, Bayog Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:40 AM of January 31, 2019. 

\PCSUPT Emmnauel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victims as Manuel Sumalpong Bahunswa, 63 years old, married, Barangay Kagawad and his nephew Jason Dadan Bahunswa, 25 years old, single, farmer all of resident of Purok 2, Barangay Canoayan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Both victims were hacked and stabbed by Dalangon brothers, later identified as Gelmar Lumawan Dalangon, 32 years old, married,  CAFGU member based at Barangay Guigang, Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte, Boyet Lumawan Dalangon, 34 years old, married, farmer and Orlando Lumawan Dalagon alias Tatoy, 22 years old, single all of resident at Purok 1, Barangay Bobuan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation disclosed that at about 12:00 AM of January 31, 2019 certain Orlando Dalangon Alias Tatoy was boxed by unidentified person at the disco causing him to be unconscious and brought him at his resident and when he awakens, he returns together with his brother Gelmar Dalangon and Boyet Dalangon purposely to retaliate.

When Gelmar Dalongon entered at the disco floor, he immediately boxed a wrong person and ran away going home wherein Barangay Kagawad Manuel Bahunswa and his nephew Jason chased Gelmar Dalangon when they arrived at unlighted bridge where the incident took place.

Victim Manuel Bahunswa sustained multiple hacks and stab wounds on his body that caused his untimely death while his nephew Jason Bahunswa sustained one (1) hack wound on the right side on his head and accordingly rushed to Ipil Emergency Hospital and subsequently, transferred at Zamboanga City Medical Center.

Suspects were able to elude arrest, going to the direction of Barangay Guigang, Siayan, Zamboanga Del Norte.
